I am pregnant with my third child (my other two are to the age of 5 and 4) and my colleagues, throw me a baby shower. We have none of our old baby clothes (I think we have a couple of crib sheets, but all the clothes, bibs, etc. were donated to Goodwill value is a long time.) I feel kind of fun of a shower. I know they want me to throw one, but I feel about the things on my registry, lol guilty. We have had some layoffs at work, and we have already said, we do not come from bonuses or raises this year. My shower is in mid-November (planned right before Thanksgiving) and my due date is New Year’s Eve. What I do have on my registration? So far I have mostly clothes, towels, bottle holder, etc. (all cheap). My husband and I are buying the big things (crib, stroller, car seat). Would it be wrong, things like a diaper Genie, a play mat (they are brought about $ 30ish dollars), a Boppy pillow, a Bumbo seat, etc. on the registration? Frankly, I would feel much better if the people I would gift cards. In this way they could spend $ 10 and that would fit perfectly to me. I would not even mind if they came with empty hands – I’m just honored that they want to throw me a shower.
How can I let them know that they bring no need for something, or that it is okay to buy me a gift card with a small balance without sounding cheesy? I really have only 10 to 12 points on my registry, and they will be bought fairly quickly, I think. Help! What would you do if you could? Also, I do not know if it matters, but my other two children were born in Michigan and I now live in Georgia, so that none of these people were my other shower (for my first baby).
Question for all you moms, about my baby and the Bumbo seat…would a tray help or just be a waste of money?

My son loves the Bumbo, but as he sits there, theres no where to put his toys. He ends up throwing, which I give him support. He is then kept as far as he can to try and grap the toy. Pop and he goes out of the seat and onto the floor. He feels phase, he thinks it’s funny. Would a Bumbo tray, keeps his toys are much better or just a waste of money. .
Do Bumbo seats help a baby to learn to sit on her own or do they slow the process?

I ask because my 3 month old baby loves to be propped “” so much that I made those Bumbo seat. But I wonder if it will slow down their progress, since they do not really bend forward and try to sit as if they just propped. On the other hand, they say Bumbo Seats build the back muscles. . . Confused!? Help! What do you think? All experience?
If you have the bumbo seat did it help your baby? Was it worth it?

My baby just turned 3 months on Saturday, and for a while, she is already on its head. So, today I bought her the seat in front of some Bumbo lady for $ 20. Overall, the Bumbo Seat is good? Is it safe? Is there something I should be aware of? it will help her sit up?
Is my son too not ready for the bumbo baby seat? Please help!!!!?

Hey, my son will be 4 months on 17. My fiance bought him the Bumbo baby chair seat. He can hold his head up, but it’s still a bit wobbley. He is sitting crooked and looks uncomfortable (for me). Is it just me or is he too young for them? Even if it says 3 mths to 14 mths
HELP! My daughter who will be the big 1 12/27!….is not rolling over yet!..She hates tummy time…?
My daughter is a preemie she was born at 26 weeks! weighing 1lbs and 11oz. She goes to high risk clinic every 3 months to see how she is doing. They told me to do tummy time every hours for like 5-10 mins..it never last that long because she screams and cries, put her face into the ground she does not keep her head up when laying on her stomach no more than like 3 mins!…I bought her a bumbo seat to get her strength up to sit and bought a playmate and a boppy ( it is a knock off) for tummy time I heard i should buy a mirror which im planning to get…I tried to lay her on my chest and talk to her and she still cries I try to ignore the cries but I can’t….I don’t put her on her stomach every hour when im home because i feel bad….I do have a full time job so it is kind of hard to make sure she is getting tummy time, my mother is the baby sitter but she is also sitting my 7 month old nephew and sometimes my 2 year old niece….
Those lil seats for babies?? Many questions Please help FTM!!?
Hi I am a new mom, my son is 2 months and is advanced. (i knw alot of moms say this LOL but he holds his head high, uses his legs to push rolling on to his sides and can balance on them for a sec.) My question is I have seen those lil baby seats that you can put the child in to sit them up. Some are different colored wiht trays that attached. (like the bumbo baby sitter) I was wondering how old your child was when you used them and how well do they work. I think its something my son will love. But I dont know if he is too little or if they dont work.. TY in advance
