My daughter is about 7 1/2 months old but still cannot sit without support.?

My daughter is very active and loves to sneak around the house. You can sit well in her Bumbo seat on the couch, but not without support at the ground. I am a bit worried. I wanted to find out from other mothers when their babies start to sit without help. Also can I do something to help her sit upright.

I have some questions about “tummy time”?

When is the usual age to start “tummy time” with your baby? My son just turned 3 months old and I have tried to put him on his belly a few times, and he hates it! This was never a problem with my four older children, because at that time always your baby on her stomach from the time they were born (because then things were the opposite – the doctors recommended that you never sleep babies on their backs – more belly or side). How do I get him to the idea, applied in its belly? He already has great neck control for his age – he holds his head up perfectly and he can sit in a Bumbo. When I see him on his stomach when he just can not figure out what he was doing with his arms. He begins almost immediately, when I cry on her stomach and I hate to see him in so wretched, so I pick him up pretty quickly to calm him. Any ideas would be much appreciated, I too could not him on his stomach at all for the first 2 months due to severe reflux so I guess we always have a late start.

ok, so Dallas is close to 9 months old. . . I gave him a Bumbo back a few months b / c he tried to sit up in his seat and spring, I needed something he could sit in about 30 minutes to an hour after his bottle b / c of his reflux. . . He is seriously trying to turn around in the matter. . . He is on the “smaller” side, so that he can turn and turn him in quite easy to look things up. . . all other babies try to almost 180 degrees rotated to get into these things? he can not sit, we supported but not everywhere in the camper have (where we live, for real $ $ and the economy) for him to play without going into things. . . I would like him to my parents house (I have a key b / c I try to help, some to take her home, as my mother, our son holds for us while I was in school three nights a week), but agree with the dreary weather outside, and it already congested I really do not want him out there in this mess. . . He can sit, but he tilts still trying to get things and can not return to his own back on. . . and basically there is not a space big enough to sit here with carpet for him, if he umkippt.wieder but we have very little space here. . . and he is a whopping 16 1 / 2 pounds or so. . . . He was two months early, but he’s still a little guy. . .

This is a question about bumbo seat’s have you or do you consider using them?

My daughter bought a Bumbo seat 2nd hand from ebay, I put my 4-month-old granddaughter in her and she did not seem very stable, as was her neck from side to side wobble, they say, they can be used to feed a baby to support play and television from the age of 3 months to 14 months but no neck support, baby I took out again and said to my daughter, I do not think they were suitable for age four months, she sat down in their baby and child kicked her feet into the ground and tilted the seat, so this is anyone else that has happened to before? I think it stayed safe enough to let my daughter have a back like i dont know what to do you all think after what I just told you happened? A question for parents about two baby products: Bumbo and play mat?

My baby is almost 12 weeks and is soon held up his head. I did not have the Bumbo baby sitter seat or blanket for him and I am one, whether they are useful and are worth the money? I was also concerned about the safety of the Bumbo and so for a play mat, I thought a blanket on the floor would just work well. Both items are expensive, but I have seen them at flea markets or on ebay. I want parents input, whether they are worth preserving, your baby using them and they are worth? Thank you!

Question for all you moms, about my baby and the Bumbo seat…would a tray help or just be a waste of money?

My son loves the Bumbo, but as he sits there, theres no where to put his toys. He ends up throwing, which I give him support. He is then kept as far as he can to try and grap the toy. Pop and he goes out of the seat and onto the floor. He feels phase, he thinks it’s funny. Would a Bumbo tray, keeps his toys are much better or just a waste of money. .

I am confused about gerber supported sitter food..?

My son is 3 months old, and he can sit on his own with support, lets say on a couch, on his high chair with back support, and on his bumbo chair. But I know babies are not supposed to eat until about 6 months, so how come the gerber website says its ok to introduce first foods like cereal and the fruit purees once the baby is a supported sitter?

No answers like “ask your doctor” lol I know im waiting until at least 5 months or more to introduce cereal and other soft foods, but I’m just curious about the gerber stages
